Abstract

Electric power companies and manufacturers have made continuous efforts to strengthen relationships with universities, such as providing internships, joint-studies, chair professor grants, dispatch of lecturers to universities. Recently two new schemes of mutual relationship have been carried out. One is called "Consortium", which is a collaborative study of universities and industries, separate from IEEJ activities, to get additional ideas. The other is a committee in IEEJ to create new worth in electrical engineering combined with other academic fields. This presentation examines a brief summary for the above collaborative procedures between universities and industries to create break-throughs in electrical engineering.
