In order to enhance the profile of IERE, IERE recognizes the importance of working together with relevant organizations.
IERE progressively explores such organizations.

UN/ECOSOC »

Since November 2002 Board Meeting, IERE was accredited to roster of consultative advisors for the UN/ECOSOC in July 2004.

EURELECTRIC »

The Union of the Electricity Industry-EURELECTRIC is the professional association which represents the common interests of the electricity industry at pan-European level, plus its affiliates and associates on several other continents. Based upon bilateral understanding of EURELECTRIC and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in June 2003*.

*Since then, the first collaboration of EURELECTRIC/IERE Workshop of "Worldwide Electricity R&D" was held in May 2004.

vgbe energy »

vgbe energy is the technical association of energy plant operators. Its members are companies that operate worldwide facilities for the generation of power, heat and cooling as well as for energy storage and sector coupling. As an independent technical competence centre and network, vgbe supports its members in their operational business as well as in the implementation of innovations and strategic challenges.

Based upon bilateral understanding of vgbe and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in April 2007, and renewed it in June 2022.

International Centre for Sustainable Carbon (ICSC) »

International Centre for Sustainable Carbon (ICSC) provides definitive and policy-relevant independent information on how various carbon-based energy sources including coal, biomass and organic wastes can become cleaner sources of energy, compatible with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. ICSC products include independent, peer-reviewed policy-relevant studies, regular webinars, blogs and international workshops on a range of subjects, particularly the energy transition. Based upon bilateral understanding of ICSC and IERE, both of the organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in January 2010 and renewed it in April 2023.

Gas Turbine Society of Japan (GTSJ) »

GTSJ was founded in 1976, based on Gas Turbine Committee of Japan established in 1972. The members are in a wide variety of fields such as gas turbine manufacturing companies, users, universities, national laboratories and other corporations. Now the number of members exceeds 2000, and they are flourishing in their fields as the member of GTSJ. In addition, 135 corporation members support the activities of GTSJ.
Based upon bilateral understanding of GTSJ and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in November 2010.

JAPAN CARBON FRONTIER ORGANIZATION (JCOAL) »

JCOAL supports the development, commercialization, transfer and dissemination of coal technologies and the human resource development, in order to ensure the international coal supply and the harmonization with the environment. JCOAL also carries out a variety of activities to make coal even more effective resource or energy source while enhancing its superior cost effectiveness and the stability of supply, aimed at contributing to the stable energy supply and the sound development of industrial economy in Japan.
Based upon bilateral understanding of JCOAL and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in November 2010.

International Flame Research Foundation (IFRF) »

IFRF is the research and networking hub of the global combustion and energy community. Their mission is to advance applied combustion research and promote cooperation and information transfer throughout the international combustion and energy arena. Their network includes approximately 150 organisations representing the power generation, steel manufacturing industries and so on. Based upon bilateral understanding of IFRF and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in July 2018.
