In order to enhance the profile of IERE, IERE recognizes the importance of working together with relevant organizations.
  • Council of Power Utilities (CPU) in India
    CPU is an umbrella organization of power utilities in India, established in 1983, aims at formulations of solutions of problem besetting the power supply industry through interaction between indigenous utilities and also between utilities of developed and developing countries.
    Based upon bilateral understanding of CPU and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in October 2009.

  • EURELECTRIC
    The Union of the Electricity Industry-EURELECTRIC is the professional association which represents the common interests of the electricity industry at pan-European level, plus its affiliates and associates on several other continents. Based upon bilateral understanding of EURELECTRIC and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in June 2003*.
     *Since then, the first collaboration of EURELECTRIC/IERE Workshop of "Worldwide Electricity R& D" was held in May 2004.

  • Gas Turbine Society of Japan (GTSJ)
    GTSJ was founded in 1976, based on Gas Turbine Committee of Japan established in 1972. The members are in a wide variety of fields such as gas turbine manufacturing companies, users, universities, national laboratories and other corporations. Now the number of members exceeds 2000, and they are flourishing in their fields as the member of GTSJ. In addition, 135 corporation members support the activities of GTSJ.
    Based upon bilateral understanding of GTSJ and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in November 2010.

  • IEA Clean Coal Centre
    IEA Clean Coal Centre provides unbiased information on the sustainable use of coal world-wide. Funded by member countries and industrial sponsors IEA CCC products include in-depth topical reports and online databases of coal information. IEA CCC also provides direct advice, facilitation of R&D and networks.
    Based upon bilateral understanding of IEA CCC and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in January 2010.

  • Japan Coal Energy Center (JCOAL)
    JCOAL supports the development, commercialization, transfer and dissemination of coal technologies and the human resource development, in order to ensure the international coal supply and the harmonization with the environment. JCOAL also carries out a variety of activities to make coal even more effective resource or energy source while enhancing its superior cost effectiveness and the stability of supply, aimed at contributing to the stable energy supply and the sound development of industrial economy in Japan.
    Based upon bilateral understanding of JCOAL and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in November 2010.

  • UN/ECOSOC
    Since November 2002 Board Meeting, IERE was accredited to roster of consultative advisors for the UN/ECOSOC in July 2004.

  • VGB PowerTech
    VGB PowerTech e.V. (VGB) is - as the European technical association for power and heat generation - a voluntary association of companies, for which power plant operation and the appropriate technique are an important basis of their business.
    Based upon bilateral understanding of VGB PowerTech and IERE, both of the organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding in April 2007.

  • WEC (World Energy Council)
    The World Energy Council (WEC) is the foremost multi-energy organization in the world today.
    WEC covers all types of energy, including coal, oil, natural gas, nuclear, hydro, and renewables, and is UN-accredited, non-governmental, non-commercial and non-aligned.
    IERE are discussing with WEC about a favorable relationship through the exchange of expertise.
